To assist the Ministry of Justice in improving the project management process of ICT related projects, with a special focus on the roles and duties of the MoJ Project Section, the MoJ E-justice Department and the Sectorial Council for ICT stemming from the AP23, the Project produced an Assessment and Recommendations for the improvement of planning, programming, implementation and monitoring of ICT projects in the justice sector and a Manual with a focus on planning, programming, implementation and monitoring of ICT projects in the justice sector. The Assessment & Recommendations document shall assist the institutions and organisational units in their work on planning, programming, implementation and monitoring of the ICT projects in the justice sector by providing a set of 19 recommendations for a better, more structured and aligned approach among them to work in the field, as well as to clarify responsibilities of all three bodies in charge for ICT Project Cycle Management.
The Assessment and Recommendations, as well as the Manual were presented to the representatives of the Sector for the Judiciary and the Sector for the European Integration and International Projects on 24 February 2020, at the Orientation meeting organised by the Ministry of Justice and the Project. During the said presentation, the participants concluded that both documents captured the complexity of the process and the essence of the challenges that the various organisational units are facing in their work from the very beginning to the end of the project management cycle, and that their application in practice is expected to be of great use.
